I just read a sad and shocking news.
Lucknow, Aug 12 (IANS) A 25-year-old Muslim woman was allegedly burnt to death by her husband and in-laws for giving birth to a baby girl for the second time in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, police said Wednesday.
Yes, it still happens. Discrimination and violence to women in the ever expanding modern world today. For her to give birth to a baby girl is such a crime that death is the punishment. There’s no specific detail but for all that we know she may not have even recovered from the pain of giving birth yet. For enduring nine months of pregnancy and hours of birth labor, this is the thanks she gets. Sadly, it happens in a Muslim family. Shame on the husband and the in-laws.
These people will never learn that there’s no way the woman can decide the sex of her baby. There’s no way the woman have the power to alter the sex of her baby. It’s the chromosome from the male sperm which determines the sex of the baby. There’s no way it’s the woman’s fault!
I wonder how some people can be so ignorant. How culture belief surpass humanity and religion. Say that they don’t know the actual science fact. But it’s not even logic to happily burn a living human. How could they? How could they feel they have the right to do so? How could they even have it in their heart to do so? I pity the baby. What will the future be for her?

That baby boys are the only worthwhile investment/product. He even said ‘who the hell does she think she is anyway’ (referring to the poor dead woman). What?! Boys and girls have the same value. Both have their own place in this world. If you like boys so much, go and marry one. See if you can even get an heir out of it, let alone a baby boy.
