Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

I didn't realize this earlier but yesterday's wee morning post marks the 100th post in this blog. Wow, but in two years time that seems to me to be an unimpressive record. Haha.

Why do I blog? Well as I recall at first it was to share my passion on books. I also want to share some of my favorite quotes too. I never meant for it to be a personal diary. To be honest I'm just intrigued to have my own space on the net. Then I got distracted with another blog on my handmade cards that brings such joy to me since I am so into arts and stuffs like that. Blogging (or more likely blogwalking ;p ) also helps with my loneliness at that time because my parents and my sister went to Hajj which leaves me home alone for more than a month.

Then, I notice that slowly I began to maneuver my blog into stories of my personal life affairs. I guess it's inevitable that eventually the stories you love to share most would be the story of your life. Sometimes it's not exactly about my life but of personal thoughts on things around me. So much for my initial passionate review on books. Haha.

I guess there is no specific direction the blog is heading. I know I'll keep blogging randomly so long I can satisfy this need to jot things for sharing every now and then. This blog has been a few of my favorite things. Now it seems the blog title still suits it right? Little bit of this and little bit of that? Hehe.

Hey, single ladies!

There's still about 50% of us and senarai itu melegakan hati ramai orang. Pastinya yang di dalam senarai lah. Hehe.

Sekian lama kaum wanita sentiasa resah dengan persoalan bila nak kahwin. Biasanya soalan ini mula mengasak seawal mula bekerja. Baru habis belajar, sudah dapat kerja so what's next la kan. Tapi lama kelamaan bila selalu diasak, boring tau. Showing your concern? Please, we don't need it. We are trying okay, so let us be.

Kadang-kadang baru saja kenal pun. Masa kursus ke contohnya. Tau saja masih bujang terus pop! "Bila lagi nak kahwin?" Haish. Kadang-kadang saya rasa orang sebegini tidak faham perasaan orang lain. Mungkin kerana rezeki mereka berkahwin awal. Tidak pernah rasa tekanan soalan kontroversi ini. Akhirnya kalau ditanya, saya cuma diam dan senyum sopan saja. Tidak perlu susah-susah fikir jawapan.

Kenapa geram? Kami tahu ok, kami tahu. Bukannya kami sengaja. Paling geram lagi "Ko jual mahal sangat ni". Grrrr.

Mesej saya: Save it please, not everybody have the answer to that question. And it's not like we're not trying.

Yay! Happy?

Simple Things

[1] Flowers are great. Sweet. Beautiful. I just love the way it lit up my room. A pleasant to the eye. [2] Simple things make me happy. As simple as fresh flowers. It's a vow that I'll always place them in the house from now on. [3] Cooking is simple. The rules are not rigid. It lets you explore you creativity. I believe cooking is an art itself. And again, it makes me happy. [4] There are many simple things that we don't give that much thought. As for me, I want to pick up on those simple things that I like. Life is a journey. Along the way, I want to take time and smell the roses.

House Keeping

I am super busy this weekend. The house has just finished renovation and what a mess! I'm so glad though it's over. For the past few weeks I feel like I'm living at a construction site. The noise, the piling stuff at the hall to vacant the kitchen which is the main part renovated, and most irritably the dust! This dust don't keep put. They seeped through every nook and crook and under my closed bedroom door making my life miserable. So here we are cleaning and dusting and rearranging. Yay! The house is clean and gleaming again. No more slippers inside the house.

It's lucky that I have another day off today. It's the birthday of Perak's handsome Sultan (He's really very handsome, so is his son and his grandson) *Grin. Cleaning the house has took all of my time and I wouldn't mind at all had not I have to prepare a slide presentation for an eye course which deadline is tomorrow. And I just know I had to make it last thursday. Urgh.

I love playing with Powerpoint though. Each time I actually couldn't wait to finish drafting the points and datas so that I could concentrate on the layout, colour and design. Sometimes when I get stucked or become too bored, I even do that first. Hehe. My style has been smart and simple. I also didn't put too much words. That would be crowded. It's what powerpoint are after all. Jot important points and explain during the presentation. Then no flowery doodly though because these are work related and it would have to look proffessional yet not boring. With Vista the possibilities are endless. So I could really spend hours exploring the many options and the differences it made.

I'll be presenting the topic of 'The importance of early screening'. It's really a very interesting subject considering the impact of delayed detection of visual problem especially in children. Maybe I'll write a post about it. But for now, I have to go back and finish it. See, I am stucked and bored just now. Or maybe I should touch up the 'thank you' slide first. *Grin. Again.

I know every book of mine by its smell, and I have but to put my nose between the pages to be reminded of all sorts of things.
~George Robert Gissing

Mind you, this is a random entry. Hee~

Books
Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. No better way for me to describe them.
Love them, cherish them. But I haven't been able to catch up on my reading lately. Huaa! Feels like there's so much to do. After work *exhausted, slump on the couch catching up on fav tv series*, weekend *weddings, housechores*. I need to read! I need the escapism!

Yummy! A dreamland. To have a small library in my own house packed with books of all sort.

Facebook

Now I know why people are addicted to facebook. It is addictive! I've joined for a few months but only recently I know what to do there. Haha. Still blur with some of the applications though=p

Holiday
In need of a holiday. A relaxing, fun and joyful one. Will be away this weekend on one. I'm on leave starting tomorrow. "All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go..." sing along everyone!o(^_^)o

See ya!
