Honeymoon unlimited

Olo! (You'd understand this if you've watched Megamind ;P) I'm currently at Kuching on a one week leave having an oh-so-exciting holiday with my husband. It's a month after our wedding and time seems to move slowly with him around. We're languorously enjoying this moment together.

I arrived on Friday straight from Penang. My man works here and Deepavali is not a public holiday here. So the evening after I arrived he held a small high tea for his colleagues at the clinic. And we got more wedding presents!

I've just realized that I'm a bad documenter. So many things have been happening in my life and some just pass away without words as memory. There are photos, yes. But with words we'll get the whole picture. Heck, I've been as far as New Zealand and I didn't have a proper journal on it. What a waste. I am determined more than ever now to jot down all the experience, memories, excitement, and the ups and downs life has to offer me. I wish to do this so that one day when I'm old and all shriveling but still acceptably pretty, while sipping lemon tea in my garden, I'd get to reminisce my life with my old and all shriveling but still handsome husband by my side.

I eat merely to put food out of my mind
~N.F. Simpson

Kelmarin kepingin burger tepi jalan. Tapi hampa sebab ronda-ronda lepas kerja satu gerai pun belum buka lagi. I don't know why tapi burger tepi jalan adalah sangat appealing bagi saya. Sedap dia lain ooo *drool*. Jadi semalam terus beli roti burger dan daging burger. Susah sangat aku buat sendiri je la. Pagi tadi gigih bangun awal buat burger. Wah, selalunya bangun tidur terus rushing hendak pergi kerja saja. Hee.

I like to eat. Amat sangat. I'm not choosy as well. Selagi halal saya suka cuba makan. If I like it then I'll really savour it. Fortunately, my husband pun sama. So, aktiviti kegemaran kami sambil jalan-jalan ialah makan. Buat apa pun mesti hendak makan. Terima kasih Ya Allah kerana kurniakan kepada hamba Mu nikmat makan.

People say I'm petite. Maybe now but not many people know that I've had an episode of chubbiness before and not to say overweight but certainly not an ideal weight for my height. At that time I was working in Temerloh. Eating outside is quite expensive so we cooked everyday. My housemate was a dietitian but she herself is a big eater. Hari-hari masak nasi without fail. Plus we're really good cook. Ehem. My regret was that I wasn't active physically compared to my student days. Also I'm not aware of my own increasing weight. I guess I'm too absorbed by how petite I am as people said. I became ignorant that however petite you are but when you eat more than what you need, you will become gemuk as well! I was shocked literally.

Nowadays I watch what I eat especially carbs. Usually I eat less on weekdays because it's easier to hold my appetite when I'm at work. Petang balik kerja pun jarang makan nasi. Just to keep my tummy full. So far masih berjaya.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

I didn't realize this earlier but yesterday's wee morning post marks the 100th post in this blog. Wow, but in two years time that seems to me to be an unimpressive record. Haha.

Why do I blog? Well as I recall at first it was to share my passion on books. I also want to share some of my favorite quotes too. I never meant for it to be a personal diary. To be honest I'm just intrigued to have my own space on the net. Then I got distracted with another blog on my handmade cards that brings such joy to me since I am so into arts and stuffs like that. Blogging (or more likely blogwalking ;p ) also helps with my loneliness at that time because my parents and my sister went to Hajj which leaves me home alone for more than a month.

Then, I notice that slowly I began to maneuver my blog into stories of my personal life affairs. I guess it's inevitable that eventually the stories you love to share most would be the story of your life. Sometimes it's not exactly about my life but of personal thoughts on things around me. So much for my initial passionate review on books. Haha.

I guess there is no specific direction the blog is heading. I know I'll keep blogging randomly so long I can satisfy this need to jot things for sharing every now and then. This blog has been a few of my favorite things. Now it seems the blog title still suits it right? Little bit of this and little bit of that? Hehe.

Instant awesomeness

Hey, what's this? Miniature photos?

Among the hantaran from me to him is a thing which produces instant awesomeness. Instant beauty. Instant memory. Instant fun. Instant credit card? Er, nope. The size of the product is of a credit card though.

Looks fun enough already? So what is the thing?

Tadaa! This is Mr Fuji. Our new instant camera which develops mini prints instantly promising instant fun! Cool huh. Check it out here.

I absolutely had no idea that polaroid still exists. Thanks to hubby for finding out about this cutie. Well, this isn't exactly polaroid. But it is the closest to instant film photography. Wait a minute. It is instant film photography! Isn't it exciting?! I love to watch the film develop before my eyes.

My first option was the
Fuji Instax Wide Instant Camera because the film would be bigger. But upon seeing the monstrous and bulky size of it, I don't think I could carry it everywhere easily. So we bought the Instax Mini instead. Turns out the credit card size film is not so much a drawback. We absolutely love it!

Stick it anywhere. Make a scrapbook. Be creative. It's limitless fun!

Today was a fairytale

18 days has passed. Oh my, it seems so fast. I am a wife.

I can still feel the beating in my chest waiting for the aqad moment. I can still taste the sweetness of the moment we’re solemnized as husband and wife. I can still feel the fluttering of my stomach holding his hand for the first time. I blushed shyly remembering his first kiss on my forehead.

We had a simple yet sweet and romantic wedding. I feel like a princess united with her prince. It didn’t have to be grand, I don’t need that. What’s important is we’re celebrating our love with family and friends being there.

I pray for the eternity of our union. I pray for His blessing throughout our life. I pray our love growing stronger as we love Him together. I pray for the bliss of our journey together. I pray and I pray.

I’m just back home from his town. I’m back to my own hometown. Back to our love nest, previously just my room, which feels lonely now because he is not here with me. We are yet waiting the posting transfer result. The only soothing fact is my parents are here with me.

To my dear husband, just know that I love you. I didn’t say it before. In fact I’ve never say it before. But from this moment, nothing will stop me of saying it over and over. I am done saving it. Because now I am yours and you are mine =)

Maher Zain wuz ere!

Ok. Cerita kahwin belum. Cerita honeymoon pun belum. Tapi nak cerita pasal showcase Maher Zain malam tadi. Boleh? Hehe.

Needless to say, best amat showcase dia. We had a really good time. He's a great performer and yet very humble. Communication skill pun sangat bagus. Pandai joking, at times sangat naughty usik audiens. Baru berapa hari di Malaysia pun dah pandai cakap bahasa Melayu. Saya tengok makcik-makcik yang hadir semua layan habis, siap berdiri tepuk tangan nyanyi sekali. Ish2, penangan Maher Zain.

Pengantin baru. Aww.

Aishah, excellent voice as always.

Memang excellent view lah.

Memang seronok dengar dia nyanyi. Lagu berhantu beliau bagi saya Ya Nabi Salam Alayka. Second song yang dia nyanyi malam itu. Wah, memang best. Sempat telefon adik saya bagi dengar sekali sebab dia pun minat lagu tu. Hehe. Paling sweet bila dia nyanyi lagu For the Rest of My Life dan dedicate kepada wife dia. Aww. Encik suami awal-awal start music dah dedicate =)

We want more!

Tapi Maher nyanyi sembilan lagu saja dari album dia sebab dia kata ini showcase, bukan konsert. Kalau dia dah nyanyi semua lagu nanti orang dah boring nak dengar konsert dia T____T Mana mungkin orang boring dengan lagu-lagu dia. Ish2.

Maher said definitely he will come back again for a concert next time. Yey! He really like Malaysia so much that he claim it's like his second home. That night he also shared a few ideas and lyrics of his next album. Great, can't wait!

More pictures? Mari-mari ke facebook saya =)

p/s: Picts taken with my new Canon S90. One of my hantaran kahwin. Not bad huh. Too bad hubby left his dslr battery charger at Kuching. Otherwise we could zoom closer. But we're really satisfied with the picture quality of this compact camera.
