The last week

This could probably be the last week we're staying at my parents' before we moved in to our rented house. As sad as I am to leave the cozy nest, I look forward to live together with my husband and build another cozy nest. With that said, I'm so grateful that at least I got to spend the last 4 years with my family at my hometown. I've been away for 13 years. Boarding school, matriculation, uni, then 1st posting when joining gov. How sweet it was when I got to transfer back to work here. My mom also pampered me sometimes, preparing fabulous breakfast pack every morning until I became the envy of my colleagues. It's like she's trying to make it up for the absence years.

Yeah, the curtains is still halfway done. Lazy me. I'm planning to buy my very own sewing machine someday though. I'd love to have those antique looking machine with the wheel as pedal. Very classic and so makcik-makcik. But sooo adorable. Makes a good exercise machine for the calf too. Hee.

My mom's sewing machine has the wheel too. But it's not functioning anymore. Just the motor pedal which also had been replaced a few times already. This babe has provided such excellence service to us. It has created many clothes and curtains, baju kurung, skirts, cushions, a baju kelawar (Which is my first sewing project at the age of 12 using the cloth my mother meant to make herself a baju kurung. Hihi. I was home alone and bored and I dug in her stash of cloth. How furious she was when she got home that evening)

Last weekend at Ikea was fun. This time the purpose of shopping is clear. To furnish our home. Last time I just gaze dreamily and oohs and aahs at the beauties. So one of the reason I can't wait to move in the house. To assemble the things we bought! Wee.

This could probably be the last week too for my father wearing the cast. It's almost 2 months now since the fall. Last x-ray early this month showed that the wrist fracture has healed well (The radius and ulna was all dislodged forward to the carpal bones. Ouch!). Just need a few extra weeks to be cautious. So we'll see about it this monday. He's been so compliant drinking milk now that it's almost funny to watch. He's such an anti-milk person before.

Hey, this is the last week of March too. Fits the title. Hehe. Till then peeps!
